Benotto Cello tape (hecho en mexico) came with bar end plugs (actually bar end caps that go over the end of the bar, not inside of) and per their printed instructions you were supposed to start by wrapping over the bar end caps and when you got to the top you were supposed to melt the end of the tape with a match and stick it to itself. No logo/finishing tape.

Of course, you are free to use their product any way you wish.
