Well Crew,

Here’s an unusual one that I offer for sale to the list pre-E-Bay:

R.E.W.Reynolds children’s road racing frameset!

This bike is absolutely amazing! But first the details:

-13 ½ inch seat tube ctr. to ctr.

-16 ½ top tube ctr. to ctr.

-Wheelbase 32 ½

-Fully lugged

-Cinelli fully sloping fork crown

-Full wrap around seat lug treatment

-Campagnolo 1010 long drop outs in the rear with eyelets and Campagnolo fork ends with eyelets.

-Campagnolo Nuovo Record headset (looks new old stock pre installation)

-N.O.S. TA alloy cotterless 150mm cranks with 36 tooth chain ring

-Rigida 500A steel clincher rims laced to Campagnolo 24 hole small flange quick release hubs and Michelin 28 x 440 tires

This is THE ULTIMATE children’s bicycle!

Here are j-pegs:

This little bike is really wonderful! I guessamate a mid to late 70’s build date ( the other bikes in Aladdin’s Cave were from that time frame and the Reynolds tubing decal is also from that era).

Since there really are no precedents, price wise, on this type of item other then rarity and desirability, I’ll use fair replacement cost analysis to arrive at a price: the hubs are about a hundred bucks as is the headset (installed but otherwise n.o.s.). the cranks, say another hundred. The frame would cost at least 600 U.S. from a U.K. builder like Bob Jackson. So……. that’s 9 Ben Franklin’s!

A fair 25% discount yields:

$675.00 to buy her and 5% of the sale goes to Operation smile (www.operationsmile.org http://www.operationsmile.org/ )

Or make me an offer I can’t refuse.
