I have seen a 1960 Cinelli - the original owner appeared sure of the date, with no points on the lugs.

When did the 74 mm BB shell appear and disappear? What if we put our collective info on Cinelli together here, and come up with the best possible dateline. I'll post it on the Bicycle Quarterly web site, unless Chuck would like to add it to the timelines on his site. (I think keeping the timelines together would be useful.)

Dave, since you have looked into this, are you interested? (If you want to make it into a BQ article with photos, etc., that would be great, too.) As time goes by, this is only going to get fuzzier. Might be good to establish now what we know...
