Glad to be of help Bill.

I'm thinking that the bolt at the front is stainless steel? I tried a magnet and it didn't really stick. Definitely not aluminum. I've changed out a lot of the front bolts (handlebar clamping) many times on my 1R stems because the early and late versions of the bolts vary in quality (the fit of the allen wrench in the hole... late bolts are best). None of the bolts were aluminum (I've been using the 1R stems on a lot of my bikes beginning in 1976). Anyone else have thoughts???
