Hi, John, CR mates--

I want to thank you and give a plug for the 1952 DVD SPINNING WHEELS, which was evidently used as a recruitment tool by British cycling clubs, aimed at initiating fledgling cyclists to "the cycling game" and club life. (The Bath Road Club appears on a "run" in the opening and closing footage).

The film is filled with fantastic footage highlighting Britain's contributions to the amateur and pro cycling scene of the day. It was thrilling seeing film of the time trialing process, including the out-and-back turn. In particular, I was especially delighted to see my retro hero, Ken Joy, who was British Best All Rounder four times, starting in '49. Tell me, is Mr. Joy still with us? Any CR members out there know Ken Joy?

Cheerio,
