Someone outed this bike frame a little while ago and it caused me to think about the possible scenarios that might lead to such an oddity... My considered wild ass guess is that it was a track bike, later "converted to a Time Trial hybrid by adding rear Campy vertical drop outs, cable guides and such. Not sure how they got around the brake situation... Frequently just a front brake was used on such machines, and possibly a different fork was installed for TT use.?

Not sure about the lugs but they sure look like cast (& not stamped) to my eye, with a lot of material in the lug body, shape, etc. I think that implies the original manufacturing date is back in the 60s...

My daily search of ebay for all things Pogliaghi on ebay returned this frame? ?

today.?

sense to me.?

The brake bridge is not drilled (and is a different shape than my later?

pog track frame has).?

Lug treatment appears to be much less refined than on other?

Pogs pictured on the CR website.?

I've also never seen a Pog (although I haven't seen all that many)?

with "Pogliaghi Italcours" stamped into the headtube.?

What is this? was this an early Pog spec'd somewhat similiar?

to a british path racer?? ?
