Subject: [CR]Raleigh questions

Hi all, I am looking for a little more info on my Raleigh, early 80s' best guess. I bought used in 85, as a frameset. It has Suntour Superbe dropouts, chrome sloping crown fork, and chrome front lugs, with cutouts on the top tube and bottem tube sides of the lug. (I apoligize for delay in pictures, camera not cooperating). I found a catalog on Mark Bulgiers site, a Raleigh Rampar Superbe.?? Looks very close, but mine had orange paint and appropriate decals at the time.

Were these made in Japan?? My serial # starts with MOE.

Also, I am looking for info on when the team Raleighs (red, black, yellow) changed the rear stays. I have seen some with "shot in" stays, like a fastback design? I understand there is a list member who worked at the Raleigh factory ?

Thanks. Tom Forbes

Houston,Texas.
