More observations: The tubing stickers on the forks and seat tube, the large wheel clearances, and the BB shell shape suggest Japan, but the top-tube free of braze-ons is early-mid '70s. A mid-70s Japanese sport-tourer? Also the seat lug doesn't' have the elegant look of a top Italian frame.

Hi, been looking at this bike on Ebay, #270136161537, and it's not too clear what it is, under all that finish and patina, especially since the title says De Rosa, and the description says Peugeot! I really don't think it's a Peugeot. The geometry says mid-60s or so, the lugs say Not Peugeot of that period. Components are all decent and vintage, but not original to a mid-60s bike, 'cep perhaps the headset. To me the decals and headbadge say nothing, save that perhaps as a high school kid an old owner decided to "decorate" the frame. I had such thoughts, after all!

What do you think it is?
