I have used all of these, and the new hubs have no less magnetic drag than Dynohubs did, actually, probably a bit more!

The big difference is that Dynohubs only put out 1.8 watts, while the newer hubs put out 3 watts. The main technological difference is the use of exotic "rare earth" magnets in the newer hubs.

Also, the new hubs are quick release, with push-on electrical connectors, while Dynohubs were nutted, including the electrical contact binding posts.
