Below is a list of cycle items (ignore the Triumph car bits which I'm selling for s friend!) which I've put up on Ebay. They say that London buses always travel in threes - well so do Reynolds 753 frames it seems - I have three quite different but all rather special 753 frames listed. The first is a reasonably early Raleigh Team Pro with drilled dropouts and slotted bottom bracket and Prugnat S4 lugs, features which I think go to make the prettiest and coolest of the Team Pros. Second up is a Columbia probably from just outside the CR timeline but definitely KOF - Columbia was set up after the Carlton Worksop factory closed by ex-Carlton employees and they certainly built some beautiful frames in the 1980s - this one just pristine. Lastly and certainly not least is a F W Evans 753 built with mudguard (fender) clearance and probably one of the last frames from Evans' own workshop - the extra clearance and guard eyes make it special but so does the workmanship which is just exquisite and which includes another slotted BB shell... There's plenty else of interest amongst the frames including a fairly Stallard but the highlight for me amongst the parts is a Campagnolo Super Record type 2 rear gear dated 1976... We have seen and heard of type 1 SR rear gears from 1977 and 1978 and a type 2 from 1977 but a type 2 as early as 1976 is not something even I thought existed. It does show that Campag were producing both types of SR rear gear for quite a considerable period of time. If they did that for the SR rear gear can we ever really establish a sequential timeline for any Campy component with any certainty? There are also some rather special condition parts - those of you who read my auctions regularly know that I very rarely use the word mint - well this week I've used it twice - with a pair of Stronglight 49D cranks and a 1970s Cinelli 1R/66 bar set... Finally the 1950s Vittoria rubber bar end plugs are worth a look.
