Subject: [CR]FS: 55cm Pinarello Stelvio frame, fork, Shimano Dura Ace headset

This was a one-owner frameset before I bought it. This frame is a Pinarello Stelvio, hand-built in the Pinarello frame factory in Treviso, Italy. The frame measures 55cm from the center of the bottom bracket to the center of the top tube with a 55cm top tube.

This lugged frame is made from Dedacciai Dolmen steel tubing custom made to Pinarello's exacting specifications. The frame is painted metallic black with silver decals, chromed right chain stay, microfusion investment cast bridgeless bottom bracket shell, cast brake bridge, and plug-in dropouts. The entire bike looks as if it may be completely chromed underneath the paint.

The threaded fork is painted to match the frame, with a pantographed chromed fork crown. Pinarello pantographing is also found on the bottom head tube lug, seat tube lug, bottom of bottom bracket shell, and brake bridge.

This frame has two sets of water bottle bosses, braze-on front derailleur tab, rear brake cable routed internally inside the top tube, pump peg, chain peg, Pinarello seat post binder bolt, and metal head tube badge. The Pinarello rear dropouts are horizontal (adjusting screws not included) and measure 128mm wide, the head tube measures 142mm, and it takes a 27.2 seat post.

This bike was well cared for and maintained, but it does have paint chips (most touched up) that would be expected of a frame of this vintage that has been ridden and shipped. It also has some decal chips that help to identify it as a genuine Pinarello ;-) The chromed right chain stay has some peppering on the top of it, likely from a dropped chain. The outside of the chromed fork crown shines very nicely. The underside of the fork crown isn't shiny chrome and shows peppering, but this is something I often find on used bikes with chromed forks. In fact, all of the NOS Colnagos I bought a few years back had silver paint under the bottom of the fork crown.

The included Shimano Dura Ace headset looks to have a split in the crown race, noticeable to me only because I was polishing the fork crown and noticed the split in the crown race because the bottom of the headset reflected so well in the mirror-like finish of the fork crown! The frame and fork have been completely treated inside the tubes with Weigle Frame Saver rust prevention spray.

$475 professionally packed, shipped, and insured to the lower 48 US. Several pictures available on request.
