Ok, so it is just outside the timeline but since it has a Jim Merz sticker on the chain stay it qualifies as a KOF :-) I just took ownership of a mid 80's Specialized Allez SE bicycle equipped with Shimano 600. San the skewers everything is original and in very good condition.
My question is. Did Jim actually build these? Or, was he just the designer at this time. The SE has Shimano dropouts while the Allez has Campy.
What are your opinions of the bike? No pedals so it will go un-ridden until I score some 600 pedals. Anyone have a pair to sell? Some skewers too?
