Hi Jerry,

Congratulations on a great buy. It certainly looks like a genuine Cuevas to me. The details match my Cuevas. Francesco Cuevas passed away on Friday, Jan 28, 2005, at the age of 89 in Spain.

Last I heard his grandson Fernando Cuevas was running the business. Not sure if his uncle Andreas is still involved or not. Try: 718-396-0546

I've gathered several articles, etc. about Cuevas I can email to you off-list if you are interested.

For whatever its worth, to my eye the photos suggest the bike is in good enough shape to simply clean, overhaul and ride without a repaint -- unless, of course, you want a show bike.

Cheers!

David

Does Andreas restore classic Cuevas frames? If so, anyone on the list have a Cuevas restored by Andres? Is the contact information on the CR site still current? Anyone have an email address for Andreas?
