Hi all,

I joined this list at the beginning of the week, and I wanted to say thanks to all, and let you know that of all the lists I've joined in recent memory (and there are plenty...) this one is among the best. Although I've always owned and ridden bicycles, for some reason it never struck me that bicycling is a 'community'. You've got a good thing going here.

I'm very lucky that I work within bicycling distance of home, so I'm about to go downstairs and get on my 'classic' Motobecane ($100 on Craigslist), and pedal home. Highlight of my day, surely. I haven't started my car since a week ago last Wednesday, and before that it was over a week as well. A good sign, that. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up another Craigslist find, not a classic in the sense of this list, but close--an '80s Fuji road bike, lugged CrMo construction.

Have a good weekend, all. Enjoy the weather if you can.
