Gentlemen (and ladies) - I believe that Mr. Swann is no longer with us. I met him on occasion, at Kopp's Cycles (Princeton NJ), and felt him to be very sure of himself, as indeed was proper for an apostle of the conventional wisdom of the time. I'm afraid I was guilty of not always sharing his perspectives.

Pedantic to the max... saddle seat seat saddle? Seat post? Never heard of it called a saddle post. Seat pin seat post. Seat or saddle. And on and on and on and on...
