Subject: [CR]How to remove Modolo brake pads from holders?

Please help with ideas for removing the brake blocks/pads from aluminum Modolo Professional brake holders without mangling the holders.

These are the very hard and dense composite pads that wear away standard aluminum rims (I want to use the brakes with MA-2s). The blocks/pads are hard enough that they seem tougher than the holders and do now want to come out.

So far I've only tried putting the holder in a vice and pushing on the pad. This works for other holders/pads, even aluminum holders, but these pads are not budging.

I'd rather not destroy the pads in case they are useful someday, but if that's the only way to remove them I'd be open to that since it would allow me to use the proper holders.

Thanks,
