One correction about TA. Yes the bolts are countersunk on the road rings, but pista rings are not. The bolt does protrude.

Not sure what the reasoning is, but recently found this out.

BTW, I do remember seeing an auction a while back for a three arm chainring (I think it was TA), where the seller claimed that it DID work with campy.
