The only Sears Ted Williams that I know of with Reynolds tubing had the 531 DB throughout level, I believe. If it really matters, the front-ended frame is still up in the attic; I don't know why. FWIW, it had the crudest lugwork I've ever seen on a 531 bike.

I remember seeing ~ in Eugene Sloans Complete book of Bicycling ~ drawings of the decals for all 4 variations of Reynolds 531 tubing. According to Sloan, when he published the book, there was

main tubes || throughout double || butted e.g. raleigh || top-of-the-line gransport/comp. || bikes ============================================== plain || gauge e.g. raleigh || ????? super course ||

Has anyone ever seen a plain-gauge throughout bicycle ?? As a kid i became curious about who offered these, and I think that perhaps there was a Sears Ted Williams model made in this way ?? Were there any others??
