Subject: [CR]cinelli seat-clamp bolt, update.

I have discovered that finding one of those cinelli seat-tube clamp bolts is no laughing matter. So far I've struck out completely. Although I do have a post out to Cinelli to see if they have any.

I checked with Ital-techno, who apparently has had them in the past, but they told me they won't have more for six months..which seems weird. Maybe it's a special custom order for them?

I did get one of Fred Durrette's copies from a kind list-member, but the center sleeve is just a bit too bulky for the frame involved, and the allen bolts use an english allen size! Not ideal. I can't get it to tighten down properly, and an english sized allen for the bolts is just not right.

so, I'm still looking. I do have one original that I'm hoarding...I'm thinking I should have some made. Seems like there would be an ongoing market for these...since, in their original incarnation, they had a tendency to break.

Anyone know of anywhere else I could look for one? Or if you have an original you don't need, I'd be happy to take it off your hands for trade, or cash.

Thanks.

Charles
