Hey Ted,

Yesterday you mentioned, "... quite a few with the US Royal / Gillette type road racer single tube tires." Memories. We trained on the "US Mules" in the 1950s. For those who don't remember them, think of a seamless loop of black garden hose wrapped around a wooden rim. On a personal note, we might have crossed paths back in 1949. I raced as the Ohio State ABLA Junior Champion in the National Championships in San Diego's Balboa Park. The kid from Kenosha won and I didn't. I'm pretty much over it now.
