I'm testing the waters here.
I'm considering selling my 2004 (purchased new) Alex Singer.
Measurements are 56 x 56 (c-t-c) built up as a traditional randonneur with front and rear racks (front has dettachable low-riders). Components are TA crankset, Huret Jubilee derailleurs (long cage for rear) - currently she wears an older Deore rear derailleur (included with sale), Singer custom stem holding Nitto Randonneur bars (original bars included in sale), Gilles Berthoud front bag, Maxi-car hubs, Mavic rims, bottle generator off rear tire with remote lever on seat tube, internally wired to lights front and rear. Comes with Simplex Retrofriction shifters mounted (original Huret shifters included in sale). Color is a light metallic blue with chromed lugs and half fork and stays, with gold lug lining, blue stripes on fenders (very pretty). All in excellent shape except for some minor dings on rear fender.
Bike has very few miles under her wheels (main reason I'm selling - just don't it much and would like to see someone else get more enjoyment out of it).
I'm looking at $5900 plus shipping. I believe a similar bike today would go for a good bit more.
If you're serious about this bike drop me a line. I can supply plenty of photos.
