There was a mail order outfit in NJ called- if I remember- Criterium USA who advertised in Bicycling! that sold Nuovo Record small flange hubs for $40 a pair retail back in the '80s. This when my friendly LBS wanted $120 for the same hubset. I guess they must've been grey market or something as the LBS owner said he couldn't get them at that price even wholesale from the Campy jobber. Someone was making a pretty markup on those obviously.
