You'd have some difficulty contacting Steve Tesich -- he died about 10 years ago. The man had some good writing credits to his name -- in addition to Breaking Away (for which he won an Oscar), he also wrote the screenplay for The World According to Garp (one of my favorite films, based on the John Irving novel) and American Flyers (OK, the merits of that one are debatable, but I liked it when I was about 18).

Maybe Dennis Christopher still has his . . .
