Please leave a place at the table for me and my Pal Robert Johnson (no, not a re-incarnation of the blues guitarist, although he is in the music biz).
It is our first trip. I have bought a bargain Bianchi in Milano and a very pretty looking Fiorelli built Fausto Coppi in Novi Ligure.
We are flying over from the UK with a couple of suitably low-geared and chunky tyred rear wheels, picking the bikes up and driving down to a pal's house near Greve in Chianti.
We hope to get them in good enough shape to attempt one of the shorter courses.
