My guess is the lower starting bid had something to do with it but there were 9 interested Masi bidders. Far more interest in the Masi than the Herse. This Herse was pink and the color limited the interest in the bike, atmo.

My original post was that the starting bid for the Herse was about 7/8 of what I thought the bike was worth. I predicted it would sell and it did. If that bike was say a 1960 Rene Herse, rando style with RH parts and the Masi was a Masi Special, I think the Herse would out pull the Masi.

But that is just my opinion.
