Dr. Dremel says:

Modifying a 94 mm BCD chainring is cheap and easy, AND it looks just fine. Anodizing is a close enough match to the natural aluminum finish on your vintage Campy stuff, unless you use a purple anodized ring. A few strokes with a rat tail file (3/8 inch diameter? I don't remember for sure.) to enlongate each bolt hole and you're in business. Most of the enlongation and any imperfections in your work disappear beneath the bolt heads. And what is still (barely) visible is on the inside of the face of the chainring and crank where it's difficult to get your face and bifocals in between the frame tubes without getting hurt, or finding that lovely chainring grease pattern on your forehead.

32 T is about the minimum that's readily available anyway. I haven't seen any 31 tooth mtb rings, and a 30 T would lead to chain and bolt head interference.

Go nuts. It's okay. You're only sacrificing a cheapy MTB ring. It was going to be horribly abused anyway.
