I shouldn't be typing so late! Clearly this wasn't the actual hour bike, as it was geared, but I've always found the huge-rear-wheeled hour bike fascinating, and had never seen a road version. Interesting stuff, regardless. You rarely see this sort of outlandishness these days (brings to mind bikes like that Soviet track team pink Colnago with the dual stem, and Ken Denny's pale blue Laser.)
