Tom Sanders wrote about his wool knickers from Rick Risemberg in LA. I have the hemp pair and like them very much. Design, cut, tailoring, and material are all top notch. I was not crazy about the olive color at first, but I am coming around. The waist has some elastic panels in it, so no belt loops; I was sorry about that at first, too, but now like the freedom. The bottoms have cinch ties in the hems so I can tie them off just under the knee let some material balloon down around the tightened hems. The pockets are tough and deep; things won't slide out the top or work their way through holes in the bottom. Rick implies they are not as dressy (hinting, thereby, that they are not as vesatile as the wool?), but I live in Florida and have worn out to dinner, as well as to my broker.
