Sounds consistent with the two I've seen over the years (one I bought NOS from an old bike shop). Color though is more of a darker blue if I remember. Workmanship was very nice, although a tad below Raleigh 753 standards if I recall. Certainly a very light frame and desirable although not terribly valuable I'm suspect (it took a lot of time to sell the example I had that was mint, and the used beat one I had attracted little or no interest at the time, although it was rather beat-up with a few dents). I did have one customer that recalled them from his racing days quite fondly.

\r?\n> I seem to have stumbled across a 753 Motobecane Champion team. It has
\r?\n> french 753 decals, no braze-ons (save for a nifty M shifter stop) came
\r?\n> Campagnolo equipped. Very nice detailing, long windowed lugs and even small
\r?\n> detaled windows at the rear brake bridge. The lugs appear to be hand
\r?\n> detailed in gold paint. I have searched the archives and there seems to be
\r?\n> some debate as to whether these birds ever flew or not. This one is a light
\r?\n> almost carolina blue with black decals. There is a oval with the letters
\r?\n> PGE appearing either stamped or cast into the bb shell on the non-drive
\r?\n> side. None of this seems to correspond with anything I have read about in
\r?\n> the archives. Any info would be appreciated....
