And Lloydy was of course part of the UK Raleigh squad prior to joining Peter Post's TI-Raleigh pukka and all-dominating 'Euro' squad, along with the likes of Phil Bayton and a number of other highly regarded British Pros.
That is quite another story - one of of lost opportunities for UK boys, which at least one other list member is better qualified to relate, having I believe personally known some of the personalities involved, and I'll leave it him / them to fill in the blanks...
Suffice it to say that some 20 years later I co-incidentally happened to run into a very senior HR manager here at London Luton Airport who had once worked closely with Post during the Ti-Raleigh era. Though fulsome in his praise of Post's ability, he also espoused that he was a very, very, very hard man indeed...
