Well my wife has an early 80's Torpado Italia and a mid-70's Mercier, both pink. Despite having extensively upgraded the original equipment on the Torpado with high end period stuff, the two complete bikes put together cost only about half the price of that Derosa frameset.

This was just your basic 80s De Rosa built of SLX with cast lugs..shouldn't be worth more than about 350 on the used market, I would think. These are quite commonly seen.

So I'm a little perplexed at the final price. Seems awfully high. Anyone care to comment?
