I am a new member on this list who may not belong, but wants to anyway. I'm old enough that I bought new bikes that are now classics, but when I really wanted a DeRosa, Colnago, Paramont, I thought I could only afford a Gitane. Now, I realize I could probably have bought one of those bikes instead of just drooling on pictures of them.
Today, I am a framebuilder and ride my own frames, but they are mostly built in the classic style (standard size tubes and lugs) and I like some classic parts. Someday, I hope to find a Campagnolo NR group and build a frame around it. For now, I use NR DT shifters.
I guess I'm joining the list to get some education and find out more about the Cirque du Cyclsime. It was about 25 miles from where I now live, but it has now gone north, I guess.
