I've used new #8 stainless steel washers in old Mavic non-eyeleted tubular rims. They're a perfect fit. They're stamped stainless steel, and I put the smooth edge against the rim.

Nisi track rims (NOS). The original Nisi washers, obtained in a bag with

treated, and how should the washers be treated to prevent any further rust?
