I am having a set of wheels built using Record Pista hubs and circa 1970 Nisi track rims (NOS). The original Nisi washers, obtained in a bag with the rims, are very slightly rusty. How should the rust be removed, or treated, and how should the washers be treated to prevent any further rust? For future reference, are there substitutes for these washers?
