Hi Pete: Yea, thanks for the link. Those vintage Raleighs look like some of the vintage Chinese bikes from that era, but not all. But yea, the Raleighs do have the under rim brake like I mentioned. I think the Chinese might have copied the Raleigh because they have a headtube emblem that looks a lot like the Raleigh bird from a distance. I'm sure its not a coincidence. I have photos if someone wants to see them.
