Oh not the tripilizer chainring. Sorry I meant the tripilizer adapters by TA and Willow:

http://www.sheldonbrown.com/chainrings.html

In other words instead of really making a triple I'd like to have the inner rings as say a 48 tooth,( maybe 47) then a 36 innermost connected by the TA (or Willow adapter). Cyclocoss guard replaces where outside 53 ring used to be. But if I do this finding that outer Campy cyclocross ringuard to replace the 53 tooth ( 144 BCD) may be hard. One listmber asked where I would find it. I saw it on ebay (Netherlands I think ) 2 days ago, marked it in watched items, and it sudenly disappeared!!!.Can't relocate.

Nope. Triplizers don't come in 50t, I think 45t is the largest. And they all seem to use a 74mm inner circle. Not even TA makes a 74mm larger than 32t. http://vintage-trek.com/tripleizer.htm
