If TA doesn't make 74mm bcd chainrings in larger than 32t, then it's a fairly recent development. I have a 34t 74bcd that was bought less than two years ago. It was from a french shop online, I forget what it was called. If I recall, it was stamped 9/10 spd, which would be pretty recent manufacture.

Going back further, Mavic offered larger than 32t rings with their 631 cranks, some of these might be floating around on Ebay.
