The 92 D says "French Design" and is also stamped "Idèale" on the rear. But it also has a nose assembly engraved "Made in France". Is it possible that someone bought a lot of saddle frames after the company went under and then fabricated their own leather tops?

At any rate, the construction, appearance and finish on both is top drawer.
