My radially laced 28 spoke Mavic OR10 front wheel held up under time trialling conditions (around 1982), but after some retensioning (by my very expert wheelbuilder, he liked tight wheels) the rim started bulging and cracking around the spoke holes. I used 32 hole OR10, (2X cross laced) wheels for some nice tarmac criteriums, but was never really happy with a feel of unstability, compared to GP4's. I weighed (and still weigh, hehehe) around 180 lbs (just under 80 kgs).
