This fixie fixation around here has driven me to my Netflix queue and my dvd player.

You can now rent French director Louis Malle's delightful 1962 documentary "Vive Le Tour" on Netflix. It comes with two other of his short subjects under "The Documentaries of Louis Malle"

If you haven't seen this, it's wonderful stuff from the absolute (well to me anyway) classic era of the Tour... Anquetil, Poulidor etc. The absolute best jerseys, bikes, those wild and wacky advertising cars, bidons and musettes to die for, French team cars and well... it's a reminder when the Tour de France was FRENCH! Beautifully restored colour, too.

Fixies would like this film.... I found around here they have more affinity for "our stuff" than the Cirque du Soleil crowd on Serottas and Litespeeds.

Anyway, when it's too cold and dark to cycle, fixed or free, rent ""Vive Le Tour".
