Subject: [CR]Left arm for a Shimano "Golden Arrow" crankset

Hello list,

A brief introduction is perhaps in order first. I'm a 26 year old graduate student at the University of Toronto who spends about 40% of his waking time researching, and the remaining 60% working on, riding, and thinking about bikes. The most "on-topic" of my bikes is a 1975 Nuovo Record equipped "Brigantia" -- the project of a local builder named Eric Gray who only, so far as I know, made about eight frames. It's made from 531 tubing and Prugnat lugs. I also have a 1991 Marinoni Special with a full Sante gruppo, a nice 1985 Velo Sport Prestige with a 600 gruppo, two early-80s Gardins, and, most recently, a nice 1981 Norco-commissioned Nishiki Competition. As you can see, I like Canadian bikes quite a bit.

I am currently in the process of building up the Nishiki as a fixed gear winter bike (the control of a fixed gear bicycle in light snow is one un-fashion-related argument in their favour; though don't get me started on the Toronto fixie scene), and I would a left arm to match a nice "Golden Arrow" FC-S105 crank arm I'll be installing on it. I need a non-drive-side arm in 170mm length. According to the below site, cranks were made under a variety of designations with the "Golden Arrow" design, and any of these is perfectly acceptable. This need certainly not be NOS, or even in very good condition -- it's for a winter bike, after all. I'd just like an aesthetic match. (My arm is dated 1984, making it just slightly off-topic -- sorry for that!)
