My vintage brothers, While rebuilding my Campagnolo Super Record brake calipers I came across a stubborn, rusty brake adjuster. So I shot some Kroil into the threaded part and let it sit for awhile. Repeated the treatment. Let it sit. And then tried to free the two parts. nothing. Then I hit on a brilliant idea and tried to ease the round part free...with the help of Vise Grips. Yes, those tried and true tools of menace. Now I have a serrated and still rusted brake adjuster.
So I need one. It doesn't need to have the ruber O-ring (those I have) .
Please let me know if anyone has a brake parts bin with one of these awaiting a home. Rusted is fine.
I have Vise Grips!
