Subject: [CR]Fixed Gear

Here is my only contribution to the fixed gear debate that has been going on. Around Kenosha, Wisconsin in the 1950s, riders at the Washington Park Velodrome (and wannabes) referred to their bikes as being or having "stiff hubs" not "fixed gears." Any of you other early old timers ever hear this usage? Oh, why not one more contribution to the debate, hate the sin not the sinner.
