Completely OT. Please, in order to know the relative risk, you need to know how much mileage is ridden against and how much with traffic. I'll bet that vastly more bike traffic is with the traffic compared to against it. So the crash incidence leading to emergency room care demonstrates how risky it is to ride against traffic, when riding with it is an alternative.
