I have a Bates with a 1950s paint job that has a cable stop on the down tube for a front derailer. The other side of the bike has a Campag cable guide on the bb shell for a rear derailer. What front derailers would be appropriate ? Would a clubman buy matching front and rear mechs ?

The bike is earlier, late 30s/40s, but with the period refinish I'm going to build it up as a 50s bike.
