Subject: [CR]RE: Campy chainring no patent or Brev question - MASI brochure

I am trying to figure out when the chainrings changed from Patent to Brev. I thought it was around 1979 , not as late as 82. I am still researching. For example, one cannot always go by brochures. I just noticed that the 78 Masi brochure (on Bob Hovey's site) blocked::http://bhovey.com/Masi/index.html http://bhovey.com/Masi/index.html uses a Campy 2-bolt seat post, while the 1977 one shows a one bolt. Obviously the Campy 2-bolt is older, so maybe they were mixing parts , which probably was a common practice among bike shops in the day, like someone mentioned in another post.

Best,
