It looks a bit suspicious to me too. The tire looks almost like track clearance to the downtube and it does look like a bump under the T. Tube just behind the lug. Another thought is that the top of the stem should be somewhat parallel to the top tube and it's sloping down to the front. At the very least it appears to be a way steep frame. I once had a major accident on a steep head tube crit frame, and personally, I stay away from them. Just don't trust the handling.

I'd insist on more info before continuing my bid with that one. I've always like Witcombs though. Good luck with where you're going with it.

However the more I look at the photos, the more the angle of the fork does not look right to me and now I am imagining that I see a dimple behind the head lug on the top tube.

A close buddy thinks so, too. The seller is not too conversant on bikes and I am wondering what the CR members think.does it look damaged to you?
