Not really optimistic, Charles. Maybe just a clever way to fish. This is just a "blind auction" where the high bidder sets the selling price. They don't expect anybody to be dumb enough to pay the "Buy it Now" price, including that just legitimizes the auction to eBay. I'll bet that in the majority of times the winner bids enough so that the seller makes a profit. The moral for us, do your homework, know what the item is worth at retail and how much you want to pay below that. My plan is to follow this auction just to see what the chain ring goes for.
