Subject: [CR]schwinn continental II fork question, frame and bluemels available

Hey, gang.

I'm pretty much finished with my fixed gear conversion on the yellow '74 Continental, and I'm about to get started stripping down the Continental II that followed me home at the same time. The frame is too large for me. It appears to be the largest size Schwinn offered in 78 or 79 (26"). I noticed a couple screws in the fork blades that I've never seen on other bicycles. They're about where the lowrider rack mounts would be, but they're only on the inside of the blades, next to the wheel. Nothing protrudes to the outside. Is this some type of rack mount? Or do you think it might be something that was added by a previous owner?

BTW, I intend to strip the frame of all the components and keep them as spares for the yellow bike. If anyone is interested, once it's disassembled, the frame will be available for the cost of shipping (no fork, headset, bottom bracket, crank, etc.). Only the frame. It's black with gold decals. There are also a couple of Bluemel short racing mudguards on it. I believe they're called "Sovereign". They have the chrome strip down the middle. They're also black and look like they've spent a lot of time outdoors. I didn't notice any cracks in them. Same deal. Cost of shipping.
