This bike was also mention in a Cycle Sport article a few years ago. Sorry, I can't remember the exact issue, but maybe someone on the list remembers?

Tommy Simpson's 1961 Gitane he won the Tour of Flanders with, beautifully restored by Dave Marsh (Universal Cycle Centre in the UK).

Same shade blue as Hinault and I imagine Gitane's racing livery was one of

the longest lasting, aside from I guess Bianchi and Mercier.
